PEI又稱(chēng)為線(xiàn)性化聚乙烯亞胺，是人工合成的含有高密度正電荷的有機大分子陽(yáng)離子聚合物。PEI與DNA通過(guò)正負電荷的相互吸引形成復合物，這些復合物很容易通過(guò)內吞作用進(jìn)入細胞。PEI-DNA復合物能很好地抵御溶酶體的降解作用，有效提高轉染效率。PEI可作用于大至135000個(gè)核苷酸的質(zhì)粒，所以較大的質(zhì)粒也可以成功轉染。目前市面上PEI轉染試劑有很多種，Polysciences的PEI線(xiàn)性轉染試劑適用于多種真核細胞，用途廣泛。
