Gibco™ Efficient-Pro™ Medium

Designed to work optimally with Efficient-Pro Feed 1 and Efficient-Pro Feed 2 for use in CHO-K1 and DG-44/CHO-S cell lines respectively, the Efficient-Pro system increases titer and specific productivity, improves protein quality and metabolite profiles, and is easier to use with less solubility issues than other CHO media and feed offerings.


The Efficient-Pro system will help you:

• Sustain cell viability for longer bioreactor runs and maximized titer

• Improve downstream outputs such as protein glycosylation, charge-variants, and aggregation

• Speed up process development and streamline transfer to manufacturing scale

• Increase flexibility with a range of format and packaging configurations

Efficient-Pro Medium has been formulated as a chemically defined, animal-origin-free cell culture medium used in the bioproduction of mAbs and other therapeutics in traditional batch and fed-batch bioprocessing workflows, particularly in combination with CHO cell line variants.


Efficient-Pro Medium is a balanced formulation designed to meet the metabolic needs of mAb production and does not contain growth factors or insulin to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and production efficiency. Demonstrated to improve productivity in a CHO-K1 cell line when paired with Efficient-Pro Feed 1 compared to an industry-leader’s media and feed system, the Efficient-Pro system helps accelerate your time-to-market and achieve success.
